Research interests  

DATA QUALITY
-     Data quality assessment: definition of algorithms to support the evaluation of data quality dimensions.
-      Data quality analysis: development of frameworks to support the processes analysys in order to detect and analyze data quality problems.



 -   Data quality improvement: algorithms for data cleaning and data deduplication for structured and unstructured data. Costs and benefits evaluation of data quality improvement methods.
Data quality research has been applied in different contexts such as query optimization issues, cooperative information systems, multichannel services, self-healing web services, data warehouse architectures.


QUALITY OF SERVICE AND SOA

- Analysis of quality of service (QoS) dimensions: definition of a quality model, assessment metrics and analysis of dependencies among the different dimensions.
- Quality-aware web service selection: identification of service offerings that satify users’ needs.
- Software as a Service: design of archtectures to share operational services (e.g., ERP) by using SOA technology. Analysis of legacy modernization issues.

WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORK

Data aggregation: development of an algorithm for aggregating data in a WSN by satisfyng precision and accuracy requirements.
